Welcome to the IMVU Group Registry. We are a collection of organized Clubs, Orders, Families, and Social Groups. If there isn't a particular category, group, ect. that you wish to join; and feel free to 'shop' through the various sections to see if there is; you're welcome to contact us about adding it for you.
The categories are loosely grouped according to some very basic sub-classes for example: Under the category of Social you might find fan groups for a particular TV Show or band or just a collection of friends that have chosen to hang out together on a regular basis. Within the social category you might find sub-groups for Goth, Poetry, just about anything you can imagine that people might be interested in. If your interest isn't there and you'd like to be the first to start a group for it, you're welcome to do so.
Here is a brief breakdown of the Categories we're currently listing: Check back often as this list will slowly grow over time. For more on each sub-group within the category you can check out the general interest post found there.
Social: Pretty much what it sounds like. These are the groups formed by fans, friends, clans, families, ect. that have formed for purely social reasons like chatting together on regular schedules ect. If you're looking for a group that is more geared towards actual online RPG activities, the next category is for you.
RPG/Role Playing Groups: These are the groups that have formed of people who like to take on different personas and basically act out their fantast lives online. There will be many sub-categories here and you can likely expect to find that there are several other groups within those classifications as various groups, clans, orders, and families create their own entries and invite members to join them.
Fan/Interest Groups: These are the groups of people that share a particular interest in common. As with all the groups you'll find that some are more organized than the others, some will have regular meetings, some may have none at all, or perhaps only at special events they've organized.
We've done what we can to anticipate the general groupings that might be used in the various categories but should we have missed one, we'll gladly add it for you and you'll get to be the first to post there!
So go forth and explore and meet some new friends and have some fun. Be sure to post a message in our visitor section and leave your calling cards and let us know that you were here!
